The Hip & The Happening & The Music
- South Congress (SOCO): A Beautiful 10-minute neighborhood walk or very quick drive to this historic and hip street (Guerro’s Taco Bar, The Continental Club, Uncommon Objects and so much more)
- Downtown & The Capital: We are a 5 minute walk to the upcoming Rainey St Neighborhood and 10 minutes to 6th Street. Buses, that stop directly in front of the house, will have you downtown in about 4 minutes!
- UT: Less than 3 miles (5 minutes) to the University of Texas and all University activities including Longhorn home games
- Eastside Heat: A 5-minute drive to the up-and-coming Eastside neighborhood with some of the hottest restaurants, art galleries and organic farmers markets in town
Nature
- Lady Bird Lake and the Colorado River Boardwalk: We are across the street from these scenic and treasured spots. The Boardwalk is a beautiful 10-mile loop that takes you to downtown, South Congress, Zilker Park and back again.
- BATS!!! All summer long, this is a perfect sunset walk, just 10 minutes, to the Congress Avenue Bridge and a great view of the beautiful bats flying off for the night.
- Auditorium Shores, Zilker Park, Barton Springs & the Greenbelt: 10-minute car/bus ride (15 minute bike ride!) to these natural wonders (also home of Austin City Limits and South by Southwest Music Festivals)
- Stacy Parks: If a beautiful after-dinner neighborhood walk is in order, we are 2 blocks from the combined 10-acre city parks of Little and Big Stacy surrounded by the beautiful and majestic homes of Travis Heights
Texas History & Politics
- Texas State Capital and Governor’s Mansion: We are only a 10-minute car/bus ride (20 minute walk, 10 minute bike ride) to downtown and these State treasures.
- Austin Convention Center: Truly a 3-minute car ride, but then you’ll need to park, so hop the bus or take a leisurely 10-minute stroll on the Boardwalk before and after your big day.
- LBJ Presidential Library: Just up on the UT Campus, less than 3 miles.

Important GPS Note: When traveling West on Riverside (off Highway 35 or from the airport headed toward Congress St/Downtown), your GPS or your cab driver using GPS will instruct you to make a u-turn at Travis Heights Blvd. Do NOT make a u-turn. Turn left and park on the side of the property on Travis Heights Blvd.
